I have had a mysterious newt lay eggs in my pond and deseided to keep the egg sack till they hatch. I have lost over 20-25 eggs to fungi. How can I stop it. How can I seperate the good eggs from the undeveloped ones? I am not as all natural, but I do not wish to harm the babies with cemacles..Please help.

By the way, the are about to hatch....or at least whats left of them......

Sorry, I forgot to add that the eggs are inside an egg sack. You know covered with 3 inches of what ever the protective coat is made of. Also can I remove anything from there if so how?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
