Blackworm up nose?

Well, for some odd reason, one of my females(original) managed to get a blackworm up her nose while feeding. She definetly notices and has been rubbing her nose on surfaces to try to remove it. Dunno how much this will affect anything...breaths and eats fine otherwise. I also wonder if that worm will choose to come out by itself.

Anything I can do?

hold her nouth shut and make her breathe out of her nose really hard. Another thing she can do is jsut let it slide back and eventually it will fall in her mouth.

Jesse: I think that would stress her far more than the blackworm. Apparently, it is gone(which direction it went I dunno) and she seems fine.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
