I have some newts in my stream that I catch routinly. We found an old 10 gallon tank in our basement that is in good shape. Was wondering if we could keep the newts. We think they are eastern newts
I keep 4 (released the other 3 again) Triturus Vulgaris which I basically caught in my backyard, they are doing great and laid a bunch of eggs which are now hatched, and they like their microscopic food I also got from a local pond pretty good! They grow very fast
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
