It makes two days that we've seen that our older (nearly 6 year old) Tylototriton verrucossus keep mostly of the time his eyes closed. Do you have ever seen that ?
He moves normally and we don't see any sign of sickness.
What do we have to do ????

Is the animal aquatic? Does he seem darker than normal (shedding problems)?

No, he prefers to stay on the land, he don't often go to water and he isn't darker than normal.
We put him in a little plastic box, we observed that he open sometimes his eyes but mostly of time he keeps its closed. Also we saw him eating.
We have called the vet, he gave us eye drops and we put it to him 4 time a day.
We don't know what's the cause.

We think it was, hum..........just a "moult/slough" (he was changing skin)

When , this morning, we cleaned his eyes with the eye drops, we saw that his skin was coming unstuck. With a "moist/damp" piece of cotton we unsticked skin from head to tail and now he keeps large opened eyes. It's the first time we see it before a "moult/slough" but we get relieved two days before going to holiday

Thanks for your answers Ester
