Breeding sword tail newts

haw do you breed sword tail newts do you have to give them a deep sleep first before they can breed. and are there larvea biger than stuff like alpine newts larvea

There aren't any newts that need a "deep sleep" in order to breed. Many of them need a cold period, but they don't sleep. C. ensicauda is a subtropical species, so they don't need to be cooled much in order to breed. The larvae are slightly larger than alpine newts, but not much. The procedures to raise them are about the same.
