Sid's waterfall rock

Here's Sid's tank. I haven't done anything with it sink I got it except put in a few more rocks. What's really cool it the big waterfall/stream rock has lots of space under it for hiding, a stream running across it, and a filter inside!

I'd love to do a background and everything for it. I wonder if I could do that and still have the waterfall removeable for cleaning?

I loved this waterfall, I had it in a 20 gallon tank for three years. However my newts would just hide in the holes and behind the filter. It became hard to clean the surface of the waterfall as well. Nevertheless it does look good in the tank.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
