i was cleaning cages this weekend-and did a lot of water changes and algae scraping-i have a series of photos on 2 species i shot but here i am going to place some random shots i took of some of the others...
first are 2 shots of my taliangensis

Nice pics Paris. I love the toes on the taliangensis -- too cool.
 
Nice photos as usual Paris! I like that photo of the chinensis, the bottom one has a funny expression . What are they doing? Looks like either food or a fight.

I concur. They resemble the orange "fingernail paint" on Bombina orientalis toes, don't they?
 
talaingensis are hopeless beggars-and i give in to see this greeting me at the door (they even beg to people out in the hallway)

-not sure what they were doing except watching me, they werent fed then and werent really fighting but were watching me so i shot a few pics-this one the one just happened to have his mouth open-he may have been sniffing the water....

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
