Any European kweichowensis breeding advice?

Any Kweichow breeding advice from our European (or Asian) brethren? Now that the animals are in the States, it sure would be a waste if we can't breed them. So far, my understanding is their normal breeding season is late May through early August. I've heard variations of totally aquatic to half and half environments. I'm currently set up with two 40 gallon long tanks(120 x 30 x 44 centimeters)half and half, and an 8 inch (20 centimeters)water depth. Each set up will hold a male and 2 females. Daytime temps are around 76F (24.5C), night temps are 70F (21.0C). I'm currently using anacharis for them to deposit eggs on. Any corrections or suggestions?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
