I hope this is the right place for this thread. I didn't really think it was a "help" question. Sorry moderators, if this isn't in the right place...

Is it TarEEka or TarEYEka ????????

I can't find a dictionary with the pronunciation.

Also, is it anAHHHcharis, or anACKaris?? for anacharis.

Thanks bunches!</font></font>

No kiddin' Pin-pin! :D

But, for anacharis, I have close friends who own a greenhouse (wholesale). They raise various water plants. They pronounce this word as ANN ACK ARISS.

As for Taricha, the correct pronunciation probably rhymes with "eureka",--so I would say that Nate has it right. Although I'll admit, I have been pronouncing it as TARE ICK KAH.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
