Hi Joeri, it seems my reply was also lost.

No series unfortunately. That little guy was plucked out of the adult tank for the photo and then put back again. He's been recycled for sure

. My waltl have spawned continually for 8 months now and since I'm having trouble giving the offspring I did raise away I won't be removing any more eggs. There must be a fairly constant 100 eggs/larvae in the tank at any one time. The adults largely ignore the developing eggs but they do gobble the larvae up.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
