Hi,
Today I go to the local pet stores and found that they keep some adult axolotls in the same tank, I heard some information about axolotl have a nasty habit of snapping at each others limbs and will even eat each other, is it possible to keep axolotls in the same tank? and is that the adult axolotls without the nasty habit ?

it's fine to keep them together, as long as they are kept in a spacious tank.

I think 60x40x40 is minimum.
Please note that it might make a difference if you do or don't use a filter and an air pomp

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
