Tiger Salamander info

Hi all
How readily avaliable are Tiger sals either as morphs or in the larval stage in the UK? I have never seen them advertised or being sold in pet shops before. I'd like to aquire a few but never seen any for sale. I know some bait shops sometimes sell them as bait (I've personally never seen any being sold in this way).
And also another point I've been longing to ask, which type of variant is commonly avaliable? I have seen pictures of many different types all ranging from black on yellow to yellow on black.
Thanks

Hi Aimee,
There were some neotenous sals, in the Pet trade,in July `02, I think, they were Ambystoma mavortium mavortium...yellow on black.
They were approx 35 centimetres long, and were kept very cold, but they all eventually morphed.
You won`t find them being sold in bait shops in the UK.
Regards/Mike.
