Broken Arm- Anything I Can Do?

One of my axies was acting wierd when I got home today, she was curling around sideways trying to bite at something. I didnt think much of it until she tweaked and started swimming around the tank- one of her arms just kinda flopped and waved in the current she made.
I assume its broken or dislocated...and I cant exactly set the thing and put it into a cast so what can I do? Anything along the lines of pain management perhaps?
I am not expecting to be able to do much, but I just hate to see my baby in this sort of situation.
Thanks~Heather}

Hmm. That's a toughie.
You could do a splint - using a suitable material wrapped in softer material, bound down either side of the leg to keep it straight until it fixes (we did this with a toad).
Alternatively, just try to keep her comfortable, and it should either repair or regrow.

Keep us updated.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
