Help in regards to salt baths

This is probably an annoying question since it's been addressed numerous times already but here goes:
After reading the health section under axie care, axie posts and chat, I'm finding there are different salt bath solutions in regards to salt amounts in baths. Under the wounds and physical damage section, the recommendation is 1 tsp salt in 2 ltrs of water. Under the bacteria and fungal infections it's 2-3 tsp salt per 1 ltr of water. I also have run across other variations in forum posts. Since there are many variations, is there one set salt/water dosage or various per certain conditions. I was hoping someone could clear up this confusion and tell me the exact dosages required. When is axie refrigeration recommended?
Also, I'm not firmiliar with metrics and the american conversion would be MOST helpful!

Meghan, it depends on the problem. Healing skin irritation doesn't need as high of a concentration of salt as would be required for killing fungus.

There are about 3.8 liters in a gallon.

For the purposes of salt baths, liter = quart. Not exactly the same, but as you see from the various recipes, the amount of salt doesn't have to be very exact anyway.

I've never used salt baths, so I don't have any recommendation for what concentration is best. Joan's advice makes sense.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
