Howe many babies per tub?

I now have 37 babies hatched out of the 42 that Kerry sent me, and they're all in a smallish plastic faunarium at the moment with some young daphnia.

Is it OK to keep so many together for now, or should I be looking to separate them?

If so, what is the maximum number to a tub?

I only have 2 airstones, but have been doing daily partial water changes and spot cleaning.

If you find some aren't eating as much, (stomachs will be thin) then maybe separate the skinny ones out into another tub and that way they will get to eat more. Otherwise if they all look healthy, fully bellies they should be fine till they get bit bigger. My friend separated his into containers of 20 babies,

are these white albino or golden albino?

I've deleted/trimmed some posts here. Louise is looking for advice, not offers to buy. Discussions of "wanted to buy" belong in the advert section.

The density of larvae you have in the photo looks great, Louise. The max number per tub decreases as they grow.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
