I really hope these pics will work out. anyway I have made a new setup for my breedinggroups. I have 6 groups and also some juv.groups. This is a new part of my setup with the juv. You see the filter is very simple but it work. The green plastic box has a opening in the buttom. He is filled with a box of seoliet and lava rocks. On top I have white filtermaterial which keep the most part of the dirt out. in the black box there is a waterpump which pumps the water up again into the tank. the tanks have a overflow which leads the water through pipes back to the filter. i have 3 tanks on one filter. Each aquaria has a tap which is connected to the riool. So no more buckets when i have to exchange the water end less stress full for the animals.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
