Some poeple here have mentioned using a Britta water filter for their axies. They add silver to the water, is that ok? thank you.

Silver is an inert metal. I don't think it will have any affect on water quality or the animals themselves.

There have been studies of using silver for its antiseptic properties, but I don't know how that works.

silver sterilises pretty much anything. for this reason i wouldnt use it. in my oppinion, a sterile enviorenment can only lead to a weakened immune system leaving the animal suseptable to disease.
