Found frozen of this along with bloodworm, daphnia etc.

can axies eat this ?

Axies will eat them, though they may not be good for them. Just like axies can eat gravel but it can kill them. They are maybe OK, maybe not. I don't know.

As it's in the frozen cubes, I would guess so.
My 'lotl quite likes white mosquito larvae, so I'd say it was probably the same!
I also feed her frozen brineshrimp, with much success.
Bit messy, but my shrimp enjoy cleaning it up!

As nutrition, mosquito larvae are excellent. The only questions are... is the food the right size, do the axies actually eat it, and does it not pollute the tank? If yes, then great!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
