What is right

Can anyone give me an idea of what temperature range is right. My axie is at 21c. I have seen people say 18-22, 17-20, 15-21 etc. I know that around 20 seems right but does anyone know what is precisely right.

During the winter, my axies were quite active and happy at 9C, so being too cold is never going to be a problem indoors. I think for every degree over 20C there is an increasing risk of problems. I would say the "ideal" is 10-18C, but that's just my opinion off the top of my head.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
