anywho thanks for everything

on a second note- if any of your are looking to give away an axie * sighs * you know who to talk to

Oh, thats so not right!!! You poor thing, so to hear that.
Well.. i guess now.. at least now you have time to properly cycle your tank

this is true, im planning on getting some kind of fish for the process ( not gold fish :: plah! :: )

why fish for cycling? putting a bit of axie or fish food works just as well without the extra hassle.

For me I don't think it will be that big of a hastle since im mostly getting everything for free- via christmas and i'm not going to be getting an axie for a month or so.. I think its a perfect plan in my case

If you're going to use a fish cycle, goldfish are probably one of the best to use since they excrete massive amounts of ammonia.

If you don't want to kill your fish during the cycle, you can do small water changes to keep levels down from toxic levels, but still high enough to build up your biofilter.

Jeff,
I hate to say it but the time length may or may not be faster.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
