Hi again

i have a 500w sound system in the same room as my axies and usually crank it, but not since i got my buds.
just wondering if this will affect my axies ?

i know for a fact they do sense the vibrations because i fell out of bed once and they shot around the tank like mad men and women!! but then again i play my death and black metal rather loud and its right by my community tropical tank and they couldnt care less. maybe you could put your speakers on something that absorbes vibrations?

Rob, like all Salamanders, they hear through vibrations. I would suggest not cranking the music, or using head phones and still not cranking the music because it can damage your ears

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
