Pellets

You can use trout pellets and I use pellets for tropical fish - bottom feeders - they are gobbled up

Any good-quality sinking pellet made for carnivorous fish. Trout and salmon pellets are good, but may be hard to find.

I use special pellets for aquatic amphibians from a mail order company. All my axies like them, and the pellets have added vitamins in them

any pellets for fishing will do but take notice of the oil and fat content, as a rule any pellet band from match fishing should be used sparingly as they are normally high in fats and aren't very healthy

sherri could you please post the address of the mail order company you use, like to try my axies on pellets.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
