Tank size for 2 axies

I'm thinking about getting another axie and was wondering if my tank is ok? Its 60cm long x 30cm wide.

it will be rather cramped, once you add the hideouts and considering an adult axie can grow to 30cm which doesn't really allow them that much room. A 3ft tank or 90cm long x 30cm wide would be better for 2 axies.

Already got 2 hiding spots. I guess will have to wait a bit longer and get a 3 foot tank later when I can afford it.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
