Ph levels

What is the ideal Ph level for a tank. I know that Amonia and Nitrite should be 0 and that Nitrate less than 80 but 40-60 maybe ideal. but haven't got a clue what Ph should be

ideal ph for axolotls is 7.6

they can tolerate a range of as acidic as 6.5 *Not recommended* to an alkalinity of 8.0

An imperfect pH is OK, even 6.5. What is NOT OK, is using "pH UP" and "pH Down" products to try to adjust the pH to some ideal.
