Our lease runs out in a few weeks, and we are moving on to bigger and better things - including Axl's very own room (or the spare room, whatever).
I need to know how to move my little man without stressing him out alot. PLUS it will be summer - how can i make sure he doesnt overheat whilst travelling.

Put it into a small waterproof bowl with a lid, and put it in a bin with some cool ice packs. This will keep it cool while you move, and give you some time to set up his new home.

You want to keep the filter, the substrate, and all the decorations wet, or you will have to re-cycle the tank.

I get large buckets and fill them with tank water, and then put my decorations and whatnot in them. If you have heavy substrate, take half of it and put it into bowls with some tank water.

g did the pet shop inform you of the tank temperature range for axies cause when the heat comes you can have big problems, i lost an axie due the cyclone no power for my aquarium chiller, i tried the fan on the surface of the tank and ice bottles but this only lowered my tank from 31 degrees to 27 degrees, the humidity is just too high in cairns, what suburb are you moving too

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
