I got my first axie, well she isnt really my first cause i've had others in the past, on Friday 15th of April! From this place in Fremantle called Vebas. There were thirty or so for sale so it was hard to chose cause i wanted them all.lol. i ended up getting a little leucistic female cause she looked fat and healthy, she also has blue gill stalks which is weird. i named her Marilyn cause she reminded me of Marilyn Munroe. lol dont know why? she likes to move around in the morning in a clumsy kind of way and she keeps head butting a plastic plant that was in her tank so i moved it into the 4ft one. i will send a pic of her in the axie gallery asap!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
