Attention seeking?

last night i was mothering the axie eggs and the fish and i think the axies felt a little neglected because when i looked back at them they were all walking on their front legs with their bums in the air! all 3 of them! it didnt look like a proper medical problem and theres no problem with oxygen so i guess they were just trying to get my attention. plus when i went over to see them they all put all four legs on the sand again without burping or anything. are axies known to do this for attention? oh, it was so adorable!

I don't think they do that for attention. Perhaps they all had gas from what they had eaten last?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
