Hello all,
I'm new here but loving the forum!
I've had my axies poncho and heathcliff for a month and just recently noticed some small jelly looking snails on the tank. I googled them and are apparently ramshorn snails, which might have come with new plants. Are these bad for my axie friends and if so what can i do to remove them (they seem to be multiplying!)

Oh god those things! They're a pain to get rid of. My axie does thend to eat them but its best you remove them. Dont use snail away tho that can hurt your axie.

i have snails in my tank, but my axies just wont stop eating them, so i have to get more n more then replace them again, so now im treating them like midnight snack for my axie not sure if its healthy thou but its seems to be fattening my axie up
i even have fish in it,
i have like a stable tank except the snails,

1. feed axies
2. fishes eat leafovers
3. axie poops
4. weird cleaner fish and filter removes poop
5.over time alge builds up
6. snail dudes cleans the tanks

its all good^^

Hrmm - I sometimes keep malaysian trumpet snails in my tank.
The big adults don't get eaten.

The snails should be fine, but what kind of fish or "cleaner fish" are you describing Elliot? It's sounds as though you've got a plecostamus in there? Not good for the pleco and, depending on the type, not good for the axie either

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
