I have two golden albino axies (Annabell and Amadeus) they are, of course, white, with golden/red gills. Yesterday I noticed that their gills were completely white. I had heard that this occurs due to lack of sufficent oxygen, thus I rushed to the store to get a small bubbler.
I now have the bubbler in the tank with the filter. They are about 5 months old and both in a 5.5gal tank (although they are growing fast!!)
Their gills pinked up a bit when I put the bubbler in, but they are still quite pale. Any suggestions?
ps. They still eat well
