I have recently bought Crickets for my axie to eat. but its just the question of how many should i give her???

I feed my axolotls 2 or 3 adult crickets at a time (they usually only get them once a month or so).

Ok thank you very much...

I feed about 6 medium sized every 2nd night. She looks healthy since I switched her to the crickets and has certainly put on some weight which she needed anyway.

i usually feed gut loaded crickets once or twice a week and about 4-5 each "Med - to small" my gold "tango" has gone off her/his food a little and will only eat either crickets or beef heart now, turns her/his nose up at maggots and worms

but scoffs down the crickets. my other two love maggots and worms

Stupid question here, bare with me, I'm new........what is a gut loaded cricket?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
