right now im keeping my axie in the fridge bc i saw a white bump on his side. so i was wondering how cold can the water get. bc when i check the temp. the water will go below 10C.

Being cold doesn't really matter as long as the water does not freeze. Have you been doing salt baths? Those can be extremely helpful when fighting infection, fungus, or nearly any other skin related health problem.

Down to 4C is fine. Like Grant stated, as long as it doesn't freeze. Definately try the salt baths.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
