this morning i was watching Cizin (for once he was actually sitting still!!) and i saw a bunch of little bubbles come from around his lower tummy and bottom. i assume this was him farting? i didnt think they did this though. any ideas guys?

I'm no expert, but I always assumed that all creatures farted in one way or another. It's just a way of releasing gas/air from their intestines.

well it scared me!!! lol ive never seen any of the others do it.... hahahah silly things, never cease to amuse me

yeah mine do it a couple of times a week when im having my daily 'watch them for hours' session, ive always wanted to take a pic of them doing it but have no camera

hey kim do you sell baby axies to people in england, i was reading the other day on the advertisement part someone who wanted some axies, i think i read somewhere before you gave someone on here a batch..??

Sharn,

Im very sad to say i have not bred my axies, this may be down to them all being female! What luck hey? They were all from different places!

I have been kindly given axie eggs which I have tried to rasie the the surivers went to a friend..

hi.

is it ok just to feed axolotl beef heart all the time or should i give it different types of meat?

Feeding one food all the time can lead to malnutrition. I recommend earthworms, waxworms, butterworms, crickets (these should be handfed, as most axolotls won't eat from the surface), anything that looks easily digestible.

Thank you for answering my question. Im sure Basil will be much happier.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
