hi I´m joao from portugal, and I would like to know if it´s normal for frog´s to change colour, from light brown to almost black?

under normal circumstances a frog can lighten or darken the colour of its skin to help it camouflage itself. It depends on the colour of the background

cheers
Colin

thanks a lot.
by the way, I have 6 common european frog, how often should I fed them, is it ok to feed them with one cricket every other day? I also use tenebrio worms.

hmmm depends on what size they are?

crickets should always be well fed on a good cricket food before feeding to frogs, also, dusting them with a calcium powder is a good idea

definately gut load your crickets for 2-3 days before feeding them to your frogs...

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
