Vitamins & Supplements

I am thinking of switching to a new Calcium/Supplement for my various amphibians but was wondering what other keepers are using/suggest?
Im currently using "Mardel" brand cricket dust along "Rep-Cal" cricket gutloading food. I add various fruits/veggies for water along with chicken mash, and cricket chow from Canadian Feeders.
Would switching over to "Rep-Cal" cricket dust and multivitamins improve my frogs overall health?
My frogs are in awesome shape but Im always looking to improve their health when I can.
Whats everyones "gutloading" routine and supplements they are currently using?

Thanks, Red Eye

Thanks for replying Ed, I really appreciate the links.
Did you help formulate Canadian Feeders "Gutload". It mentions your name but wasn't sure if it was the same person, another Ed Kowalski.
I plan to pick up some Rep-Cal & Herptivite soon for my amphibs.

Thank you, Carlin

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
