How often should they eat?

I have 2 firebelly toads. They were eating mealworms and crickets everyother day. I put the worms in a shollow dish and the toads found it right away and always gobled them up. Then I added a bigger water area for them and all they do is sit in the water. They rairly come out and they never eat out of the dish anymore. I put crickets in there and they really dont go at those either right now. How often should they be fed. Mine have nice round bellies and look healthy. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. I have them in a 5 1/2 gallon right now, but in like a week, I'm putting them in a 10 gallon. What should there temps be during the day and night? How much humidity do they need?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
