Hi, im new to axies and currently have one golden albino. I was thinking of getting another one and was just wondering if i could get some advice. Is it possible for a new axie to make my current one sick? And if yes, are there any ways of preventing this, and how is this done?
I hope my queries are understandable ^_^
Thanks

Yes it is possible for your current one to get sick. To prevent this, quarantine the new axolotl for 30 days in a separate tank or plastic storage tub = to see if he's healthy and will allow you to keep your current one safe from possible infection/illness or other nasties.

Thanks for the advice kapo, very helpful. Im looking forward to finding my axie a new friend now ^_^

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
