Hello!

My name is Jess, I used to have an account here, but it was too long ago I think... Anyway, I'm excited to be back, I'm in the process of setting up one hella sweet paradise for my 'ickle newties and I think they just might be more stoked about it than I am :)

I'm so glad you are all here because I'm going to have lots of questions!....starting..... now! but I'll post 'em where they're supposed to go, so look out, I just may be clueless.

Last time I was here I had great answers to all my questions, so thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out!

Great to be back!

Jess

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
