looking for a mate for my firebelly newt

i am looking for a firebelly newt for my firebelly newt so i can breed them
problem is.....im not very good at sexing.but since i wont be getting one
in a while and my camera isnt cooperating i just wanted to know how to
keep them alive and heathy.

It's certainly a good idea to learn about keeping them alive and healthy before you think about breeding. Have you found this caresheet:

Some petshops call other species "firebellies" so if the photos here don't look like your newt, check out the other photos and caresheets on the site.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
