Starting July 2007 I will be picking a photo from the Member Galleries to receive a free T-Shirt or 6 month donor status (winner's choice). It's an international competition, so in case you're wondering if I'll mail your shirt to Ulan Bator, the answer is yes. Only photos in the Galleries are elligible, so start uploading if you haven't already!

watch for my pictures of the giant salamander from the detroit zoo! coming soon!

When does the comp end and how do I put pics in the gallery?

Comp ends at the end of July. As to how you put pics in the gallery, go to the gallery and click upload and then do what it tells you?

I'm currently trying to pick a winner. It's not easy! I'll announce before the end of this week.

Sorry if this sounds ignorant, and I don't know if you already announced the winner but I didn't hear. Who did win.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
