im frances and live in plymouth uk
got my first axies last year and have no idea how old just that they are adults and breeders.
i have 1 female wild 1 male wild and 1 male leaucistic [can never remember how to spell it lol]
my partner got them for me as i had told him i wanted some newts !!!!
thanks to johns' site and then this one we have been troulble free upto now.
just wondered if there is anyone else in the westcountry on here as i havent found anyone else down here who has even heard of them.

I used to live in Bristol, does that count? Welcome to the forum. There are several people here from the West Country.

no john not quite the closest we've located to us so far is in bristol now, i was thinking abit closer, say this side of exeter.
 
Hey frances, welcome to the forum. And don't worry i can never remember how to spell leucistic, although i have added it to my spell check on fire fox to help me! lol

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
