newt in the refridgerator!?!?

is it ok to put a newt in the fridge to cool him down? I put him in their for a few minutes cuz he seemed very weak after a few minutes he had eaten a worm and seemed more active....is this safe?

It depends on the species.

Also, putting it in the fridge for momentary cooling and then warming it back up repeatedly is much more stressful than being too warm.
