thank you

How warm are you keeping him? What's his setup like? When's the last time it ate? What food are you offering?

salamander set up

salamanders set up is a large fish tank filled with potting soil ,plain with no vermiculite or anything. also has wate bowl big enough to lay in and rock to lay on ,has 3 dens dug under soil, soil is kept damp. also temp stays about 70 degrees.he ate only one cricket yesterday wouldnt take anymore and still hasnt eaten today.

It's not unusual for them to not eat every day. I only feed mine 2-3 times a week.

As for the back legs, I couldn't say.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
