Yeah, they look well Ciaran - I'd say some will have hatched within a week fella.

Make sure they don't get too warm - I've lost hatchings by allowing them to over heat in the past.

Those temps are fine. You'll have hatchlings in a few days or so. How many are you raising?

Yeah, spot on mate. I'm paranoid about letting them over heat - I've lost egg/hatchlings this way in the past; feeding them and water conditions have never been a problem for me personally.

Saw my lot last night; I think we'll have a some hatch by Sunday - Tuesday at the latest.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
