Hi all,

I thought I'd take a few moments to update you on some of the additions to the United States Caudate Registry, http://www.uscr.us/ in the last couple of months. I have added all the currently recognized forms of Salamandra as well as the more commonly kept forms of tiger salamanders, Notopthalmus newts and alpine newts. I'd like to ask that those who had previously listed these animals in their profiles under a more generic species name, please update their records. By keeping you profile current, you stand the best chance of meeting fellow keepers with similar interests. I'm adding new species as requested, so if there's something you keep that isn't presently there, please let me know and I generally have additions taken care of in less than 24 hours. I am still seeking photographs of many common species, so if you have a good pic of something you're keeping, I'd love to see it and add it to the page. Lastly, there are a few "higher profile" species I know are out there that are under-represented on the registry. If you are keeping Neurergus, Echinotriton, Hynobius or other rare species, foreign or domestic, please consider joining the registry and/or adding that species to your profile. As always suggestions for further improving the site are always welcome. Thanks to all who have participated so far!

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
