My salamander looks like a barred salamander with a lot of bars. His bars are light tan to a light green with a dark green background. He looks like that really big fat salamander you have on this site just mine is more skinner and smaller.

I live in Saskatchewan Canada, I caught him quite close to northern Saskatchewan. And according to this website barred salamanders live in Texas and New Mexico. Kind of far away from northern Canada. But he not a blotched salamander because he has bars not a net like pattern and plus a blotched salamander has a dark pattern not light. And a gray salamander has smaller dark spots not light tanned/light green bars on it like mine.
My salamander is 8 inches now, but I believe he is still growing because he was smaller when I found him two months ago. My boss says they can get to over a foot long - is that true - because if it is my 10 gallon tank will not do.
Can anyone guess what the salamander is. Once again he looks exactly like a barred salamander just wrong territory (in fact wrong country).
I don't have a camera sorry.
