Due to lack of activity by several of the moderators lately, I thought it prudent to look for replacements. Over the next few days we'll be promoting a few new moderators.

PS: Former moderators are now listed as Site Contributors.

I've contacted the current list of potential moderators.

Please welcome our new moderators:

axolotl_jake, t_summ, ianclick, jewett, otterwoman, bellabelloo, and phoenixtear.

Every one of these kind people had several nominations/recommendations. Thanks to all of you for taking on your new roles. I'm very happy that you come from many different countries and represent various aspects of our hobby.

The primary role of moderators here is to keep the peace, keep things polite and keep the rules. I will be preparing a quick "how to" guide for simple things in the next few days. This will be posted in the moderator section of the forum (which the moderators now have access to).

Well chosen and worthy candidates. Best of luck to all of you!

Congratulations and welcome to our new moderators :D

Yay! Congrats you guys! You all deserve it!

Welcome aboard, newbie-mods!!!

Congratulations and welcome aboard! All well deserved :D

Thanks all, it did take me by suprise last night when I suddenly aquired new symbols on my page and this morning I can now see why!

Thanks for the Welcome, it's nice to be part of the team!

Is THAT why I couldn't access the forum all yesterday morning before work?!

Well, Thanks for having me!

Hooray!

Thanks for the opportunity John and the well wishes from everyone.

Welcome to the team folks! I'm sure you'll all do a great job. :bowl:

No that was because of our dodgy web server configuration but don't get me started on that one...

Thanks everyone. I didn't even know the change had taken place until I posted in a thread and saw the word "moderator" under my name.

Thanks guys, I will do my best
Heather

Thanks,

I look forward to contributing and following the great example set by the current moderators

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
