I saw dane_zu's photo in the gallery and I couldn't help myself. Enjoy:

That's classic and caudatious! Thanks for posting it!

Caudatious

That should be offered as a poster or included in the calendar. Brilliant work John!

"Through countless selective breeding programmes, we have bread a newt that knows no fear"

"I am terribly sorry to say a very thin member of our team was devoured during the last week in a momentary lapse of site security. (similar to the opening sequence in Jurrasic Park)"

That is impressive and the new picture on my desktop!

HA!

LOL, that is funny....any chance you can get a poster made through cafe press?

Regarding the poster, I am not sure if Despair Inc would be very happy with me selling their "concept" (not the words, the format). Any thoughts on this?

Hi,

you can ask them about that, not a big thing
if you make clear: it´s for a "little" group of potential customers ("only" caudata-fans)

In similar cases I had success with most photographers. I was allowed to use their pics on my posters
for our 500-visitor-charity-soccer-cup

I wonder if despair would want that photo...or a larger photo of a similar incident?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
