Hi from cyprus.

what i have to do?
thnks

hi, try to get some earth worms they are the best thing and a big favorite with axies.
most angling or garden stores sell them.
better still if you have a garden you know is chemical free you could dig your own.
good luck

As Digger suggests earth worm is one of the best, but appreciate when your temperatures start to rise then they will be harder to find. What size is your axolotl ? I feed mine live earth worm, thin slivers of raw tiger prawn, lean raw meat, live river shrimp and so on.

If you can't get live food that easily you can also use frozen blood worm and brine shrimp. If your axolotl only responds to movement for food you can try hand feeding and wiggle it around a bit. My axolotl loves those foods. I feed salmon pellets sometimes too but he seems less interested in those now that he gets live guppies now. :)

Hi Beef heart, liver, steak, crickets, slaters, as well as everything else suggested.

Good luck

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
