Hi, Im a newbie ! (at least to this site)
my names Elijah, and Im in South Carolina USA
I enjoy a few firebelly's,
8 (wild caught I guess) crocodile newts, and
2 types of fires
I have frogs and snakes too but my love is salamanders/newts
waxy monkeys and asst darts if you want types

I really want to get into Axolotls . if possible and LEGAL I would love to have some mud puppys in a 135 with a chiller, but I dont know where to find them,
When I was in my early 20's in around 85 or so I had a 110 with 2 hellbenders, but then they werent protected like now
any help finding any Axolotles or pups let me know ! thanks !

Hi welcome to the forums

Yea I really recommend axolotls - I got my first one in August this year after wanting one since I was little. They are addictive though and I am considering getting another one...

Anyway, soz I can't help you with locating them. Perhaps try posting under the 'species wanted' part of the forum?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
