100_1752.jpgHi everyone im Tasha and im from New Zealand i am the proud owner of a golden albino axie that i have had since August i am soooo happy to have found this site it is giving me heaps of info.

Hi Tasha, welcome!

Your axolotl is pretty cute~~ I got mine in August too and he's now 4cm longer! (19cm) now. It is fun to watch them grow up :)

Yea this site is great for information, and if you can't find what you need just post in the axolotl forum and I am sure someone can sort you out.

That's a very intense gold. Welcome to the forum ;).

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
